2013 NFL PREDICTIONS!!! (TYLER)
NINERS NINERS FORTY NINERS

For Day 31 of my 2013 NFL Predictions i will break down the San Francisco 49ers!

Last year the San Francisco 49ers made it to the Super Bowl only to fall short to the Baltimore Ravens, this team is extremely talented on both sides of the ball and has great coach starting with Head Coach Jim Harbaugh. Let's look at who San Fran has on offense, starting of course with QB Colin Kaepernick a very talented young quarterback, RBs Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter, WRs Michael Crabtree, Anquan Boldin, and Mario Manningham, TE Vernon Davis, and even offensive lineman Alex Boone, Mike Iupati, and Joe Staley. Just a side note WR Michael Crabtree is out for probably all season with an injury. Defensively the 49ers boast the talents of Defensive Backs Nnamdi Asomugha, Carlos Rogers, and Perrish Cox. LBs Patrick Willis, Navorro Bowman, and Aldon Smith even though Aldon Smith is more of a DE and works along side DT Justin Smith to wreak havoc in the trenches. On paper this team may be the most talented in the NFL. How could they possibly improve? Lets take a look at their draft.

ROUND 1: Eric Reid FS (LSU)
ROUND 2: Cornellius (Tank) Carradine DE (Florida)
ROUND 2: Vance McDonald TE (Rice)
ROUND 3: Corey Lemonier DE (Auburn)
ROUND 4: Quinton Patton WR (Louisiana Tech)
ROUND 4: Marcus Lattimore RB (South Carolina)
ROUND 5: Quinton Dial DE (Alabama)
ROUND 6: Nick Moody OLB (Florida State)
ROUND 7: B.J. Daniels QB (South Florida)
ROUND 7: Carter Bykowski OT (Iowa State)
ROUND 7:  Marcus Cooper CB (Rutgers)

In my opinion it's almost unfair that a Super Bowl team could have so many draft picks, but you have to give credit where credit is due, the 49er front office did a great job building this team and still being able to add depth to an already talented team. FS Eric Reid will see playing time along with Tank Carradine. Due to the injury to Michael Crabtree my sleeper of this draft is Quinton Patton, he is a very good WR and will push for Offensive Rookie of the Year awards. My steal of this draft is RB Marcus Lattimore. Lattimore was projected to be a 1st round RB until his injury, falling all the way to the 4th Round and being able to sit behind a quality group of running backs and provide depth at the position. Unfortunately for most in this draft class they aren't going to see a lot of playing time but they are on the fortunate side to be able to learn from some of the best at their position. Now without further ado lets take a glance at my predictions for the 49ers.

FINAL RECORD                                      13 - 3

Analysis: Last year the 49ers finished 11-5, i see them improving to 13-3 with this schedule. I have them sweeping both St. Louis and Arizona in division and splitting the series with Seattle. A tough road challenge looms in weeks 11 and 12 and the Niners will buckle under those games before getting back on track heading towards the playoffs. This team is just too talented to lose too many games especially under Jim Harbaugh's tutelage. Playoff Bound? YES. Super Bowl Bound? We will see.

What are your thoughts on this team? Let me hear it.

  1. I think the niners will take a down turn from last year. with that said though they will still be very good my one concern is with the Crabtree injury he and kaepernick had built such a good rapport last year now their best receiver is davis. kaepernick and davis never really gelled last year like davis did with Smith at qb gore is not as young as he used to be and now teams have seen kaepernick play and can study the game film on him I see them losing some games early like the packers and Seahawks and then losing to Houston splitting with st Louis and playing a tough game to Atlanta and finishing with five or six losses and still winning their division
